Lesson 01
Understanding energy
Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.
There is more to intuitive tarot than learning tarot. You have to develop yourself too. Energy is part of that. I will keep it as spiritual practice, not as a science lecture I cannot honestly give.
What I mean by energy
When I say energy, I mean the felt sense of a person, a room, a card, a day. Heavy or light. Fast or slow. Open or tight. That is useful language for a reader. It is not a laboratory proof.
You will learn to notice your own state. You will learn to notice when a room feels different. You will learn to notice how a card sits. You will learn not to get theatrical about it.
Why this belongs before the fancy stuff
If you do not notice state, you will read your leftover afternoon as the spread. You will call your hunger a message. You will call a stuffy room a spiritual attack. That is not intuition. That is unmarked weather.
A grounded vocabulary lets you say: I am jagged, I will ground before I pull. Or: this card feels contracted, I will look at why. Practice, not physics.
How to work with it
Name what you feel in ordinary words. Do not reach for jargon first. Tight, bright, flat, buzzing, packed down, spacious.
Separate yours, the room's, and the card's as best you can. You will not always get it right. The attempt is the skill.
Do not claim the universe has been measured by your feelings. Do use those feelings as information, then check them against the image, the question, and time.
Activity
Name the weather in you
Without a card. Right now. Is your energy heavy, light, fast, slow, scattered, packed down? Write three honest words. Then notice whether you still want to read for someone else in this state.
Practice
Room, then card
Write three words for the room you are in. Then pull one card and write three words for the card. If they match, ask whether you are reading the room onto the card. If they differ, good: you can tell them apart today. Journal it.
