Course/Universal Laws/The laws in this training

Part 03

The Law of Attraction

Attention and state have a relationship with what we notice and choose. They are not a magic blame machine.

Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.

The principle

The Law of Attraction is a widely taught spiritual principle, especially in New Thought and later popular teaching: what you dwell on, feed, and stand in relationship to, you tend to meet more of. Attention is not nothing. State is not nothing. I did not invent this law. I will teach it, and I will teach how it gets twisted.

Taught honestly, it asks: what are you feeding? What are you rehearsing? What door are you standing in front of? It does not say you summoned every misfortune with a naughty thought.

Why it matters

Because it can make a reader and a querent more responsible for the stories they repeat. That can be medicine.

Because, twisted, it becomes cruelty. You attracted your illness, your abuse, your grief, so it is your fault. I will not have that in this school. If you read that way, you are not using a law. You are using a stick.

In everyday life

You look for evidence you are unwanted, and you will find some, because life is mixed. You look for evidence of skill, and you practise, and more skill arrives. You keep company with panic, and panic gets easier to find.

That is not magic as a vending machine. It is participation. You are not the only author. You are not a victim of every inner weather either. Both of those statements need to stay in the room.

Light

Choosing the story you rehearse. Aligning attention with a true want. Taking the door you keep walking past. Letting a reading show you what you are feeding, without shame.

Shadow

Distortion, not disaster: blame. Spiritual gaslighting. Pretending thought alone should have paid the rent. Ignoring systems, luck, other people's will, and the body. Using manifestation to avoid grief. Policing other people's attitude while they suffer.

How it is misunderstood

The twist I most want you to catch: if something painful happened, the person attracted it, therefore they deserved it. That is not the law. That is a way not to feel compassion, and a way not to look at power.

The other twist: if I think positively, the universe owes me the outcome. That is a toddler in spiritual clothing. Inspired action comes later in this module for a reason. Attraction without honesty is a mood board.

You can work with attention and still go to a doctor, still leave a harmful room, still admit that some things were done to you. The law is a lens on participation. It is not a courtroom.

How it can appear in tarot

Watch what the querent is facing in the cards. Seven of Cups: what are they feeding in the imagination? Nine of Cups: what are they displaying as already theirs? Devil: what are they bound to by appetite or fear? Magician: what are they actually willing to direct?

Ask: what is being rehearsed here? Then ask what is outside their control so you do not blame them for the weather.

Seven of Cups, feeding the fog

A person asks why love is not arriving. Seven of Cups lands. Light of attraction: they have a real desire, and several fantasies, and the work is to choose a cup they would actually live in. Shadow of attraction, twisted: you are not in a relationship because your vibration is wrong. Do not offer the second sentence. Offer the first, and a next honest move.

Practice

Participation, not blame

Think of a difficulty in your life. Write two columns. Column one: what I am feeding, rehearsing, standing in front of. Column two: what is not mine to attract, including other people's choices and sheer luck. Pull one card for column one only. Read it as participation. Do not read it as a verdict on column two.

Reflection

Where have you used this law to blame yourself or someone else for something that needed compassion, a boundary, or practical help?
