How to sit with a sighting

Sitting with a number means you pause long enough to notice what is already true. Where you are. What was in your mind. Whether this is the third clock today because you have been hunting clocks.

Hunting is not synchronicity. Once you have decided a sequence is a sign, you will find it. Name the hunt so it does not masquerade as proof.

If you grab a meaning, you skip the only part of the practice that belongs to you. A dictionary cannot know what you were thinking, whether you were hungry for a yes, or whether this number has a house, a date, or a person attached to it.

Numbers become a language when you interpret them. They stay a slot machine when you collect slogans.

A real sit has a pause in it. You write the digits before you tidy them. You can feel the difference between a clean impression and a wish arriving dressed as a message.

If nothing clean arrives, you are allowed to say you saw a number and you do not know. That is a complete practice. Forcing a message is wishful thinking in fancy clothes.

Write the digits. Whether they repeated or sequenced. When you saw them. What you were thinking. What you felt. Any personal association. Then ask the light: what could this be inviting. Then ask the shadow: what could this be feeding. Then ask whether you wanted it to mean something.
