Repeated astrological themes
Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.
If the same astrological weather keeps showing up across a spread, that is a theme. If it shows up once and you inflate it, that is trivia.
Notice stacking
Three cards that all lean toward the same planetary flavour. A run of fire. Two Moons in different costumes: High Priestess and a watery night card. Saturn as limit showing in The Devil and a Four.
Stacking is interesting because the reading is already repeating itself. Astrology, if you use it, is just another way to name the repetition. You should have already seen it in suit, number, colour, or posture.
One stray correspondence is usually not a theme. Do not build a story on a single goat in the corner if the rest of the table is talking about grief.
A water stack
Moon, Two of Cups, Ace of Cups. You do not need Pisces on your tongue to say: feeling, bond, the hidden, an opening of the heart. If you know Moon and water signs, you can say the climate is tidal. Then you still have to ask whether this is nourishing water or fog.
The theme is the stack. The discernment is light and shadow. Astrology did not finish the job. It named the weather.

Look for repetition first
Lay three cards. Before any planet or sign, mark what repeats: element, number, colour, gesture, weather. Astrology only gets a look in if it hangs on one of those.

If a correspondence is relevant, what extra does it offer?
Patterns
What is repeating?
Repetition
What keeps showing up across the table?
Energy
How does this card feel? Still or moving, tight or open?
Practice
Theme or not
Lay out three cards. Write visual and numerical repetition first. Only then ask if any astrological layer you actually understand is stacking. If nothing stacks, say so in one honest line. That is a good reading habit. Journal it.
