Course/Chakras and Body Awareness
Lesson 01
The chakra system
Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.
Chakras, here, are a map of awareness. Themes. Not a medical claim, and not a diagnosis you give yourself because your stomach fluttered.
The seven-centre map I will walk you through is a widely used educational map. It is not my proprietary system, and it is not the only map of the body in spiritual history. We use it because it is a shared vocabulary, and because it can help you notice where a reading is sitting.
What this map is
Seven centres, from ground to meaning. Root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, crown. Each one is a cluster of themes: safety, want, will, connection, voice, seeing, meaning.
You will learn them as a personal vocabulary, not as spinning rainbows you have to get right. If a centre does not speak in your body, you can still use the theme when a spread is obviously about money, or speech, or grief.
Why it belongs in a tarot course
Because you have a body when you read. Ignoring it does not make you more accurate. It makes you more likely to dump your own tightness onto the cards.
Because themes in a spread often cluster the way these centres cluster. A table full of Pentacles may be ground. A table full of unsaid Swords may be voice. Naming that can help. Forcing a chakra onto every card will not.
What it is not
It is not a medical model. It does not replace a doctor, a therapist, or a physiotherapist. Sensation is not automatically a spiritual message. A knot in the gut can be last night's food, grief, anxiety, or a clean no. You learn the difference by recording, not by leaping.
It is not my invention. I am teaching a common map, in my voice, as it serves reading and self-awareness.
Activity
Where you already feel
When you know something, where does it tend to sit in your body? Write that in ordinary language. We will not force it to match a centre. Your vocabulary comes first. The map is a help, not a mould.
Practice
A scan with no story
Sit. Feet on the floor. Move attention from feet to head, slowly. Write anything you notice: tight, warm, blank, busy. Do not assign a chakra yet. That is the discipline. Tomorrow you can add the map. Today you practise noticing without converting.
