Course/Developing Intuition

Lesson 02

Your personal intuitive language

Build a vocabulary from practice, not from copying a teacher.

Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.

You are building a vocabulary from practice, not from copying a teacher. That takes time. It is supposed to.

I will not hand you a list of what a shiver means, or what a colour in the mind’s eye is supposed to mean. That would just be another guidebook, and you would still not know yourself.

What does my intuition feel like?

That is the question. Not what a podcast said intuition feels like. Not what I feel. You.

A personal language is made of tells. The way a yes sits in you. The way a no sits. The way a story you invented sits differently from a clean hit. The symbols that mean something in your life that they might not mean in mine.

Your grandmother’s kitchen can live in a Pentacle card for you. A particular shade of blue might mean grief in your body and calm in someone else’s. That is allowed. It is also why you test, instead of treating every private association as cosmic law.

You build it by keeping records

When an impression lands, write it before you tidy it. Date it. Name the card, the question, the channel, the words. Later, look back.

Over weeks you will start to recognise your own weather. You will notice that a certain kind of stillness in the chest keeps company with accurate impressions. You will notice that a rush of excitement keeps company with the answer you wanted.

That is not a mystical gift arriving. That is you learning a language by using it. Same as the cards.

Do not steal someone else’s dialect

If another reader always gets names, or always smells smoke, or always hears a sentence in a particular voice, that is their dialect. It is not a curriculum.

You can respect it without auditioning for it. The Method is trying to get you into a relationship with tarot that is yours. A copied channel is just another kind of memorising.

Practice

Word, image, body

Pull one card. Write the first word. Name the first image, even if it is only a colour or a corner of the picture. Name the first body sensation. Do not pick the most spiritual one. Pick the true one. Save it in your journal as an intuitive impression, dated, with the card’s name.

Open the practice

Activity

Your yes and your no

Write how a yes tends to sit in you, in ordinary life, not only at the tarot table. Then write how a no sits. Keep it bodily and plain. If you do not know yet, write that, and start watching this week.

Reflection

Which personal symbols keep turning up for you, and have you ever checked whether they mean what you assume they mean?
