Traditional meaning for the Queen of Swords is clarity, independence, honesty, a sharp mind, widowhood in the old books, direct speech, boundaries, seeing through. Sometimes grief that has been thought through. Sometimes a woman who will not be charmed.

Keep the useful traditional notes. Then put down the ones that taught you she is a bitch. That is not teaching. That is a slur dressed as a court card. Sharp is a function of air that has grown up. It is not a personality insult, and it is not a moral about being unlovable.

First impression before 'cold woman'. Respect? Loneliness? Relief? Fear? Stay with the raised hand. It is doing a job. Name the job before you name her character.

Sword upright in the right hand: air as a held function, ready, not currently stabbing. The Queen has the tool. She is not the Ten. She is not the Three. She can choose the cut.
