Transformation

Figures changing state, a moth, a skeleton with a rose, Temperance pouring. A change of kind, not only of amount.

Transformation is energy that will not stay the same thing. Not a rebrand. Not a threat. A change of state.

What this is

Death, Temperance, Judgement, The Tower when a form breaks, Eight of Cups when you walk because the cups are no longer the life. Ask what cannot remain as it was.

Why it matters

If you use transformation as a brand you will skip grief. If you fear it you will miss a clean change already in the picture.

How to recognise it

One thing becoming another. Pouring. A call. Lightning that unmakes a crown. A figure leaving a row of cups. Different states in one frame.

How to use it

Stay specific. What form is done. What might compost. What the person could actually do this week. A World card still wants a human sentence, not a sermon.

Light

Honest change of kind. Compost. A blend that heals. A call answered. Walking because you have outgrown the old enough.

Shadow

Transformation as a personality. Drama. Breaking what was still alive. Refusing the ordinary grief. Change as a way to stay special.

Example

Temperance: pouring between cups, one foot on land, one in water. Transformation as mix, not explosion. Light: a new state by blending. Shadow: endless mixing so you never become a life.

Practice

Change of kind

Pull a card. Write whether anything is changing state, not just getting bigger or smaller. If it is, name the old form and the possible new one in ordinary words. Then interpret.
