The teaching
Five is the crack in the stable thing. Hierophant as five can be a tradition meeting a living person. Five of Wands, scramble. Five of Cups, spillage. Five of Swords, a messy win. Five of Pentacles, out in the cold.
Light: necessary change, conflict that clears the air, grief that is finally counted, asking for help after pride. Five can be the beginning of honesty.
Shadow: chaos as a lifestyle, conflict for sport, identity as the excluded one, refusing the lit window. Five can get addicted to the disruption.
How to use it: do not file it as disaster. Look at what broke, what arrived, and what is still standing. In many fives something remains. Two cups still upright. A church window still lit.
Discernment: five is not a forecast of loss. It is a quality of interruption. Context, suit, and image tell you what kind.
