The Law of Cause and Effect
The teaching
Something leads to something. In tarot, this is often the line from past to future, or from situation to advice. If nothing honest changes, this energy wants to travel there.
Light: responsibility without cruelty. You can see a pattern you keep repeating and choose. Cause and effect gives you a door, because a different cause is allowed.
Shadow: everything is your fault, or nothing is. Fate as a sentence. Karma as a threat. A reader who says the universe is punishing you has left the Method.
In a spread: Past Present Future is this law in a layout. The future card is a trajectory, not a court.
Why this belongs here: spreads already talk about consequence. This law keeps the language honest: a trajectory, not a punishment.
Discernment: do not invent a sin to match a difficult card. Do not promise a prize to match a pretty one. Speak what the table is doing, and leave the person their next move.
