Course/Chakras and Body Awareness

Lesson 04

Chakra meditation and cleansing

Practical exercises you can actually do.

Observe first. Interpret second. Research third.

Practical work. Not a performance of glowing wheels. You can do this in a chair, in the time it takes to boil a kettle.

What we are actually doing

Moving attention through the body with a bit of kindness. Noticing where you grip. Breathing toward that without a story. Coming back to the room. If colour or sound already helps you, you can add it. You do not have to. Awareness is the lesson.

Cleansing, here, means: I am not taking the last hour's weather into the next hour as if it were fact. It is a reset. It is not an exorcism of your gift.

A practice you can do now

Sit. Feet on the floor. Hands somewhere ordinary.

Breathe out longer than you breathe in, three times.

Bring attention to the sitting bones and the feet. Root. You are here. No need to glow.

Lower belly. Sacral. Want and feeling, allowed, not chased.

Upper belly. Solar plexus. Will, without a fist.

Chest. Heart. One kind breath for whatever is there, including nothing.

Throat. Space for a true sentence, including silence.

Brow. Seeing, without straining for a vision.

Top of the head. Meaning, then immediately back down through the body to the feet. Crown without feet is a balloon. Come back.

Open your eyes. Name one object in the room. That is the close.

Practice

Before a reading, after a reading

Do the practice above, slowly, once. Then pull one card and look. Then sit again for one minute, feet only, and notice what changed. Write both. That is cleansing as awareness, not as theatre. If colour appeared, you may note it. You do not need it.

Practice

One centre, one minute

Choose the centre that felt noisiest. Sit with only that area for one minute. Breathe toward it. Do not fix it. Then pull a card for what this theme needs in my life. Read the card. Then go and do one ordinary thing: water, walk, message, rest.

Reflection

Did you try to make the practice pretty, or did you stay with what was actually in the body?
