Venus

Value, bond, pleasure, what you attract by being yourself.

Venus is worth and relating. Beauty as a way of saying this matters. Not a sugar coating, and not only romance.

What this is

Appetite, taste, art, money as value, the bond that makes a garden. A common map sits Venus with The Empress, and with Taurus and Libra weather. Body, relating, what you call worthy.

Why it matters

If you skip value you will read love as fate and money as unspiritual. Venus asks what you are actually drawing toward, and whether that drawing is true.

How to recognise it

Gardens, fruit, flowers, beauty, a toast, a soft body, coins treated as worth, a question about being liked. Also: pretty as a tactic.

How to use it

Ask what is being valued, and at what cost. Useful when a card is about making and nourishing. Not useful as a fertility guarantee or a promise that someone will love you.

Light

Real connection. Real appetite. Taste that is yours. Relating that does not eat either person. Pleasure without apology.

Shadow

People-pleasing. Sugar. Buying the appearance of love. Pretty as a tactic. Money or affection as proof you exist.

Example

The Empress in a work question. Venus-like: this wants to be grown, valued, made with body and time. Not: you will be adored. The garden is the job.

Practice

What is being valued

Pull a card. Write what Venus-like quality you can see: bond, beauty, worth, pleasure. Then write the shadow of that same quality in this question. Keep it in English.

Reflection

What do you call worthy, and what do you pretty-up so you do not have to say the true want?
